The educational objective of our faculty is to provide undergraduate juristic study in accordance with the founding spirit of Soka University. That is to say, in contrast to the conventional notion in Japan of approaching the study of law from the perspective of governance, the orientation of research and education in our faculty has consistently been “the study of law for the benefit of common people” and “the study of law for the sake of peace and human rights.” The success rate of Soka students in the national bar exam and other national examinations is testament to the efficacy of our approach.
Building upon this success, we will continue to further develop our educational programs, fostering people equipped with legal training who can respond flexibly to changes in the global society and in fields such as politics, the economy and culture.
