Japan Studies Center

The Institute of the Japanese Language offers a one-year course for international students who wish to enroll in the undergraduate and graduate courses of Soka University, providing them with Japanese language education necessary to understand university-level instruction in Japanese.

The program’s unique Japanese-teaching method, through thorough instruction by experienced teachers in small classes and using state of the art audio-visual equipment, is designed to quickly and effectively enhance learners’ competency in the Japanese language.

We also offer a course for international students on exchange programs. Many students from around the world study at Soka University on such programs. The Institute’s ultimate aim is to help them develop as individuals able to contribute to the building of ties between their own countries and Japan.
