Soka University activities to promote research collaborations between academia and the government will be featured on a “Daigaku-ryoku (University Power),” a program by satellite broadcaster BS Fuji.

The program introduces the considerable intellectual assets of Japanese universities, which the government has actively supported over the years. Educational institutions have set up or are reinforcing so-called intellectual property agencies and working with technology licensing organizations to spin off university-developed technologies for commercial use.

The program on Soka University will be aired on January 10 and January 17.
