2009.08.06

The 2nd Graduate School of Teacher Education Forum was held at the Student Hall’s multi-purpose hall on August 1. It was held to discuss the challenges of the Graduate School of Teacher Education in developing teaching professionals with superior leadership skills. The forum featured four panelists, including Hideshio Anma, a deputy superintendent of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Board of Education counseling department, and Masayuki Kogawa, principal of the Kodaira No. 3 Elementary School.

Soka University Vice President Yoshihisa Baba opened the forum, which was moderated by Graduate School of Teacher Education professor Joji Yoshikawa; graduate school dean Rikio Kimata delivered the closing remarks. The event drew more than 130 students and teachers, who also participated in a lively discussion of the issues in a question-and-answer session that followed.
