In an effort to conserve electricity consumption in face of the power supply shortage and coordinated power outages, Soka University facility operating hours and services will be restricted as indicated below. The university also asks Soka students to refrain from engaging in club/seminar activities until further notice.
◆Central Library Hours of Operation
The library will be open as usual from Monday, March 14.
March 15-19: 1000-1700
March 20-21: Closed
March 22-26: 1000-1700
March 27-31: Closed
Notice: There will no access to books and materials in the stack room, and study spaces on the 3rd Floor are not available for use.
The Audio-Visual Library is closed temporarily from March 15.
The Soka University engineering building library and Soka Women’s College library will open from March 15.
Notice: The databases in the libraries will not be available during the blackout.
◆Classrooms
Classrooms are open until 17:00 on weekdays and weekends.
We apologize to those students or faculty who have applied to use classrooms after 1700, and thank you for your kind understanding and cooperation.
Notice: There might be changes in the planned blackout schedule. Also, classrooms on the 3rd Floor and above will not be available for use.
◆Computer Rooms
A Building (LB105) computer rooms are open weekdays from 0900 to 1700.
Engineering Building (E408) computer rooms are open weekdays from 0900 to 1700.
In addition to these rooms being unavailable during the blackout, they will be closed one (1) hour before and after the blackout.
