8月2日から4日間、SUA広島・関西研修旅行を行いました。
1日目は世界遺産の宮島厳島神社等を散策し、2日目は広島で原爆ドーム等を訪問。資料館では皆真剣に見学しておりました。3日目は関西創価学園を訪問し、学園生との交流会を行い、とても楽しい一時を過ごしました。４日目の最終日は京都伝統産業ふれあい館で友禅染のオリジナルTシャツを作り、最後に清水寺を見学し、帰京致しました。

研修生から以下のような感想を頂きました：

「資料館で衝撃を受けました。こんなに恐ろしい核兵器は存在してはいけないと改めて強く感じました。戦争がどれほど悲惨なのか、自分の目でみることが大事だと痛感致しました。とても貴重な経験でした。」

「関西創価学園の美しさに感激しました。皆の温かい真心に感動し、今度はぜひSUAで迎えたいと思います。クラブの合唱や演奏に触れ、とても感動しました。学園生は本当に多才で優秀だと感じました。夏休みにも関わらず、たくさんの学園生が集まって頂き、心より感謝しております。また訪問したいです。」

From 2nd to 5th of August, Hiroshima/Kansai trip was held for exchange students from Soka University of America. On the first day, they have visited Miyajima Itsukushima Shrine which is listed as the World Heritage Site in Hiroshima. They have visited Hiroshima Peace Memorial the next day. At the museum, they looked at each exhibits earnestly. On the 3rd day, they were welcomed by students from Soka Kansai High School which ended up being a very fruitful and exciting meeting. On the last day, they designed their original t-shirts at Kyoto Museum of Traditional Crafts using Yuzen dyeing method. After visiting Kiyomizu Shrine, they have returned back to Hachioji.

“I was devastated to see the exhibits in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. I truly felt that nuclear weapons should not exist as they only cause harm. It was an eye-opening experience.”

“I was amazed with the beauty of the campus, and the sincerity of the students and staffs. I hope to welcome the students in Soka University of America in the near future. Performance by the chorus and brass band was truly moving. The students are very talented. I am very appreciative for the students taking their time to welcome us despite the summer break. I wish to visit this campus again.”
