Today we visited Jesus and Mary college, one of the colleges of Delhi University. As soon as we got there, we were welcomed by performances by ECHOS, the chorus group from the music societies and other folk and classical Indian traditional dances. After we saw them, suddenly the chairperson announced that we would go up to the stage and perform a song. I had not heard about the plan, so I was shocked and we got to the stage in confusion. But soon we began introduce the song we play (Sekai Ni Hitotsu Dakeno Hana, The Only Flower in the World), which we played yesterday. There were also technical accidents that music stops suddenly twice, we did continue our performance and did a great job. After our performance, many students came to us and we talked a lot. Then we had a tea time and spent time in the sports field, looking at the boys' basketball game going on. There I knew that the college was only for women, but an inter-college sports festival has been going on from yesterday and also got amazed to know that they have many champions of India in various sports. There are many festivals and they are going on everyday somewhere in the colleges as even St. Stephen's college is holding a financial festivals today and tomorrow. In addition, I talked to two professors from the college who are both singers of Indian music. One was a professional singer of Hindustani classical music, the music in the north part and the other singing Urdu songs from the south part. They performed a few couples for us, which was so beautiful that I regretted that I had not recorded their voice.
In the evening, we had a lecture from Mr. Williams about globalization and entrepreneurship. Even though I had listened to some of the episodes showed in the class during this program, they were connected to one idea in this lecture, which was very interesting to me.
Since many things went on today, we are very tired now, so I would like to take an enough rest and do hard work tomorrow.
