A research book containing papers by the Institute’s staff has been published by the Universidad Nacional de San Marcos, Peru

The research paper written by IRISE’s Vice-Director Takao Ito on “The historical context of Ikeda’s educational thought: the philosophy of the university in founder’s lecture – The Flowering of Creative Life Force”, was included in the book El humanismo comprometido de Daisaku Ikeda. Homenaje a su vida y obra (Dedicated to Daisaku Ikeda’s Committed Humanism: His life and his achievements), which was jointly published by the National University of San Marcos and the Makiguchi Foundation for Education, Peru.

The book was published under the supervision of the Institute of Asian Studies (CEAS) of the University of San Marcos as part of the University Press’s Philosophy series and brings together articles by a number of Peruvian and international researchers.

The university (Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences) has been conducting research on the philosophy of the university’s founder from various angles in a research project launched in 2018, with the research theme “Philosopher Daisaku Ikeda’s Humanistic Contribution to the Society: Philosophy, Peace, and Religion”.
