Message to students

Hello students, welcome to Soka University's Faculty of International Liberal Arts! My name is Johanna Zulueta and I will be handling courses on Sociology and Anthropology, along with seminars regarding migration, ethnicity, gender, and the like. At the Faculty of International Liberal Arts, you will not only experience delight in studying and researching in English, but you will also discover more about other peoples, cultures, and societies, while trying to understand yourself and others and how each of us is interrelated. Here, you will be exposed to several social and cultural issues that are critical in understanding our modern, globalized world, as well as discover how to understand and analyze these issues using the theories and methods you will be taking up in your classes. It would be a great pleasure to have you here at Soka and I look forward to working with all of you soon.
