From February 25 to March 15, 16 Soka University freshmen majoring in science and technology took part in an intensive English study program organized by the Universiti Putra Malaysia language center.

Soka’s sci-tech undergraduates are required to study abroad.

While in Malaysia, the Soka students took part in an intensive English course to improve their conversational skills; they also visited a palm oil factory and shrimp farm to deepen their understanding of environmental issues. At the end of the program, the students gave an English presentation to show their progress.
