On October 23 (Tuesday), University of Ottawa Professor of the Faculty of Education Awad Ibrahim and Associate Professor of Bilingual-Bicultural Education Jason Goulah of the University of DePaul “Institute for Daisaku Ikeda Studies in Education” visited Soka University.

After visiting Soka University’s Soka Education Research Institute, they met with Professor Masashi Suzuki of the Department of Education. They attended a class on “Soka Education Theory” (in English), which was followed by Dr. Ibrahim, who is conducting research on “Hip Hop and Education,” having an exchange with D.I. Crew, a student dance group.

During the meeting, Dr. Ibrahim shared his hopes that exchanges between Soka University and the University of Ottawa will deepen and that the relaying of views regarding academic exchanges centered on education and research, as well as students studying abroad, will continue.
