The South Asia Research Center Sponsors the 2nd Online Student Exchanges of Different Cultures

On June 19th (Friday), the 2nd Online Student Exchanges of Different Cultures, which is sponsored by the South Asia Research Center, took place where approximately 30 faculty and students from India and Japan participated.

Under the theme, “Environment of Post Covid-19 Society in South Asia,” 3 faculty members from India spoke as guest speakers on “New Community Design After COVID-19,” “Developing Techniques to Monitor Student’s Psychological, Intellectual and Financial Health After the Pandemic,” and “Developing New Methods of Education and Interaction in South Asia.”

Comments from participating student are as follows:
“Students should learn more from the current situations. For example, how important regional systems are, and how the government impacts the economy and people’s lives. It is important to manifest creative power to analyze and solve issues, and leadership. While the situations in Japan and India are different, I want to lead a healthy life using the wisdom of India that I learned today.
As a student, I think it’s important to find solutions and not just recognizing changes that are happening around us. This online discussion gave me the opportunity to learn from outstanding professors and to think about solutions that can be realized based on personal experiences.
