Online Orientation for Entrance Exams Held for Foreign Students of Thailand

On August 1st, an online orientation for entrance exams for foreign students was hosted by the Soka University Thailand Office (located with Thammasat University, Thailand), where over 60 people participated.

In the meeting, Vice President Ryohei Tanaka explained the exchanges between Thailand and Soka University to date, and a staff from the International Office explained about the types of entrance exams, methods of applying, the scholarship system, as well as support structures such as student dormitories. This was followed by a report from Laopaiboonpipat Theeritsara of Thailand (Junior, Faculty of Economics <SUCCEED Program*>) about her experience of studying at Soka University as well as student life. During a question and answer session after the meeting, the participants asked concrete questions pertaining to the application procedures and life in Japan after they are enrolled.

*SUCCEED Program: A program for international students in which they can earn a bachelor's degree with all coursework conducted in English. If Japanese students can fulfill the criteria, they can also study economics with international students from various countries. It is also possible to take bilingual courses, combining it with classes taught in Japanese.
