Partial Modifications of “Soka University Guidelines for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreaks” (Oct. 2, 2020)

    We would like to thank the students, faculty, and staff for their cooperation and efforts to prevent the spread of Novel Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), referring to the “Soka University Guidelines for the Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreaks” as announced on September 1st.

    At this time, we have partially modified the guideline, we ask the students, faculty, and staff, to check the modifications and take the necessary actions.
    Especially on campus, we ask everyone to follow physical distance from others and refrain from conversations while eating.

    Guideline modification points
    ●In regards to “Points to note in daily life,” we have added the following.
    Upon using an open classroom for online classes, please record your sign in and sign out using the QR code located at the entrance of the classroom. By recording your sign in and sign out, we also would like you to please record your daily activities on campus.
    ●In regards to “Help desk at the university and women’s college” we have added the following. Not only the Student Affairs Office, students may also contact their respective faculty offices.
    ●Please recheck “(1) If you have been in close contact with an infected person”
    ●In regards to (2) If a person you are living with has been in close contact with an infected person,
    You (student, faculty, or staff) MUST stay at home and check your health condition and If that person you are living with is found not to be infected with COVID-19, you may resume your daily lifestyle from the following day the test results comes out.
    ●In regards to “(3) When notified by MHLW (COCOA)”, we have added the following.
    For you to be allowed to return to your daily lifestyle, you must follow instructions by the public health center.
