In light of the government's lifting of the state of emergency (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama) from Sunday, March 21, 2021, the university's Activity Restriction Policy level will be lowered from the current Level 4 to Level 1.5 starting from Monday, March 22, as announced in the announcement “Regarding the Soka University Activity Restriction Policy in response to the Lifting of the Declaration of the State of Emergency (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama)” (announced on March 8).
The scope of activities for each category under Level 1.5 is as follows.

Soka University Activity Restriction Policy [Issued on March 22, 2021]

Classes	1.5	(Amendment) Classes will be conducted both online and in-person while paying the utmost attention to prevent infection. (In principle, there will be no classes during the spring break.)
Research Activities	1.5	Participating in a conference and other meetings off-campus may be permitted only when the University President, Dean of Faculty, or Dean of Graduate School approves.
Use of Facilities	1.5	The use of facilities is allowed on the premise that measures to avoid the “3 Cs (Closed spaces with poor ventilation, Crowded places with many people nearby, and Close-contact settings such as close-range conversations)” are taken and with the limitation on the number of people using the facilities.  In principle, renting out facilities to non-university-related personnel is prohibited. *For details, please see the category “Campus Activities.”
Entry on Campus for Students etc.	1.5	Those who necessarily need to enter the campus for classes, research, or any other purpose are allowed to enter the campus on the condition that measures to avoid the “3 Cs (Closed spaces with poor ventilation, Crowded places with many people nearby, and Close contact settings such as close-range conversation)," are taken.
Extra-Curricular Activities	1.5	Club or group activities are allowed with the utmost caution to prevent the infection only after approval from the Student Affairs Office or Executive Director for University Administration.
University Related Meetings	1.5	Conducting meetings online is recommended. In-person meetings may be conducted while paying the utmost caution to prevent the infection.
Staff Work Schedule	1.5	Communications via email and phone are to be utilized proactively, while counter services may be provided with the utmost caution to prevent the infection.

[Campus Activities]
While paying the utmost caution in preventing the spread of infection and avoiding the 3 C’s (Closed Spaces, Crowded Places, and Close-Contact Settings), the restriction policy for campus activities will be as follows.
・Please return home as soon as you finish your classes or activities at the university. As a general rule, campus entry is until 19:00.
・Facilities can be used for permitted extracurricular activities, etc. on weekdays (days with regular class schedule) until 20:00 and Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays until 19:00. Be able to leave completely at the end of use time. Please evacuate completely from the facility by the end of the use time. Also, for Saturday, Sundays, and national holidays with regular class schedule (April 24, April 29, May 5, May 15, June 12), the facilities will be open during the same time as a weekday.
・The library, SPACe, and PC classrooms are available during the following times. If the facility has a specific usage time, please follow them.
