A paper by Soka University lecturer Mrs. Sachi Edwards of the Graduate School of International Peace Studies was published on Vol. 23 of the International Journal of Comparative Education and Development. The journal is an international academic journal on the current issues and future development of comparative and international education.

The published paper is titled "Internationalization of higher education in the era of SDGs: Asia-Pacific Perspective." It outlines the internationalization policies and indicators of higher education in Japan and focuses on how the internationalization initiatives in Japan are consistent with the country’s efforts to promote the SDGs.

Ms. Edwards commented, "It is such an honor that the paper I co-edited was published on the special issue of the International Journal of Comparative Education and Development. This special issue is the outcome of a multi-year project on the role of the internationalization of higher education in achieving the SDGs. We will continue to promote the SDGs and strive to publish papers."
