This year's “Experience Soka University〜 Japanese Short-term Training Program〜” was held online twice from August 1 (Monday) to August 5 (Thursday) for term 1 and August 23 (Monday) to August 26 (Thursday) for term 2.

The program was held to provide opportunities online for those who are interested in the Japanese language and culture. Twenty-seven participants from nine countries and regions in Europe, Africa, Asia, North America, and South America took part in the short-term training. In addition to learning basic Japanese, participants experienced traditional Japanese culture online such as how to wear a yukata and how to fold origami paper.

Participants shared the following comments:
"It was a meaningful opportunity to experience a fulfilling program from the beginning to the end, and a great opportunity to become interested in the Japanese language."
"I am very grateful for the thoughtful lectures which were tailored to the perspective of the participants. I would like to study at Soka University someday."
