Food and Daily Essentials Provided to Students Affected by the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic

On Wednesday, October 20th, with the aim of supporting students who have been affected financially by the lack of part-time jobs and by a decrease in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we provided vegetables and rice free of charge to about 500 students living alone and living in the dormitory.

Based on the results of the University's student life questionnaire conducted in November 2020, and in view of the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on students, the university arranged and distributed food and other daily essentials to dormitory students and other students living away from their parents' homes as support relief. This was the third time that the university provided support relief, after June 18th and July 20th.

In order to implement infection countermeasures and to avoid crowds of people in the venue, distribution was done online by application only on a first-come first-serve basis. The students who came to the venue received vegetables, rice, cup noodles, drinking water, etc.

Comments from the students who participated.
“This support really helped as COVID-19 restrictions impacted the part-time jobs available before my hospital practicum".
"I was very happy because I did not expect to receive so many items of support. Thank you very much.”
