The general category final screening, student category presentation, and the prize-giving ceremony for the 20th Venture Cup CHIBA were held on December 2nd (Thu) at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Chiba organized by the Chiba Industry Advancement Center and co-hosted by Venture Club Chiba.

Student category screening was held before this presentation on October 27th (Wed) and Yoshinori Yasuda Seminar Team Wadachi from the Faculty of Economics received the Grand Prix (first prize) in the student category. This was the Team’s third crown, following their victory in the student category of the YY Contest and receiving the CVG Tokyo Grand Prize.

Team Wadachi deals with the commonly unknown issues and worries faced by the unnatural appearance of persons wearing a wig due to their health condition. The Team has thus proposed a business model for online cutting services that provide solutions for wig unnaturalness, and are currently investing efforts into the realization of their idea.
The Screening Committee Head offered the following evaluation: “This idea does not only represent a novelty or a substantial contribution to society, but is also quite visionary. I wish that you succeed on the path of its materialization.”

Team Leader Shunichi Sato (third year) made the following prize acceptance and commitment comments: “We are extremely happy to have received such positive feedback about our idea. We shall not rest on our laurels, but will continue to invest efforts into the materialization of this idea, and likewise, to make all our team members happy and proud for being a part of this team.”
