Undergraduate Graduation After Party for the Class of 2022 was held

On Sunday, March 19th, the "Undergraduate Graduation After Party," organized by students, was held at the Soka University Gymnasium for the first time in four years. About 500 graduates gathered at the venue to celebrate each other's achievements with faculty members who had helped them in seminars, classes, club activities, etc.

Following a toast by the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Mr. Yasunori Tashiro, President Masashi Suzuki gave a message of encouragement, saying, "I hope that you will be active as individuals who make a difference in the world, keeping the spirit of the university in mind." During the reception, graduates reflected on their university life, taking pictures with their friends and reminiscing. The event was followed by a flash mob by the graduation committee, dancing by the D.I. Crew, and singing by the Acappella Band, Vocal Group, and the Ginrei Choir. At the end of the event, all students sang a student song together, performed by Pride of SOKA and the Pioneer Wind Orchestra.

The following comments were received from the graduates.
    • I would like to express my gratitude to my many friends and faculty members. I am also very grateful to my family who supported me behind the scenes. After graduation, with the spirit of returning the favor, I will keep in mind the three guidelines of the School of Nursing and become a nurse who can draw out the power of life by taking care of patients and their families. (Faculty of Nursing)
    • I have met so many wonderful friends over the past four years, more than I could have ever imagined when I started. I am also endlessly grateful to the professors in the faculty who, through their classes, have not only broadened my worldview but also brought out my potential. I will continue to cherish these friendships I built at Soka University and grow into a person who can contribute to world peace. (Faculty of International Liberal Studies)
