Soka University's Faculty of Science and Engineering is comprised of two departments, the Department of Information System Science and the Department of Science and Engineering for Sustainable Innovation, with three main fields of study: Information, Life, and Environment. The Department of Information System Science offers advanced courses in such fields as mathematics, information, big data, security, AI (artificial intelligence), and robotics, while the Department of Science and Engineering for Sustainable Innovation offers interdisciplinary courses in materials science, life science and information science, and environmental science and engineering. All of these fields are essential to improve the quality of life needed by modern society and to form a sustainable society.
