【FILA】 「FILA My Story」 vol.1
On Thursday, January 11, the Student Union hosted "FILA MY STORY"!
This event is held three times to provide an opportunity for our students to hear FILA professors give a frank presentation about their origins with the founders, Soka education, and their thoughts on FILA. The first event was attended by about 30 students and was presented by Associate Professor Tomoko Utsumi.
We asked the organizers about the significance of holding this event.
"We held this event to deepen the thoughts of the founders through the stories of FILA professors, and to provide an opportunity to think about our mission as FILA students."

We asked a participant about her impressions of the event.
"When I spoke with Assoc. Prof. Utsumi in class or her office, I felt her thoughts about the founder and her expectations for FILA students through her words and thoughtful behavior. This time, I heard again from her about her origin with the founder and the mission of FILA students that she believes in, and I learned how to keep the pledge with the founder in the center of my heart and to work hard.
I will never forget my gratitude to the founder, who believes in my potential more than I do, and to all those who support Soka University, as a pioneer FILA student, I will challenge myself to study harder so that I can contribute to building peace in the world!"

We are planning to have Prof. Maria Guajardo and Prof. Ichiro Sugimoto present in the near future.
