On February 21st (Wednesday), the 5^th FILA Research Seminar was held in classroom AW927. The presenter was Dr. Nomalis Amzah, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at the National University of Malaysia (UKM), who is visiting Japan for a project on Japan-related research funded by the Sumitomo Foundation. The presentation was titled "Micro-level Studies in Malaysia-Japan Relationship." The research focused on Japan's support for Malaysia from the perspective of maritime security in the Strait of Malacca, including surveys of staff dispatched from Japan to Malaysia, and analyzed the cooperative relationship between Japan and Malaysia at the micro-level. The presentation was followed by an active question-and-answer session.
