Soka University ranked in the 351-400th range overall (tied 58th in Japan) in the QS Asia University Rankings

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British university evaluation agency that publishes the world's leading university rankings, announced the "QS Asia University Rankings 2022" on November 3rd.

The university ranked in the 351-400th range overall (tied 58th in Japan), and moved up from the 401 to 450th range overall last year. As an indicator of measurement, the ranking is determined by the reputation of researchers and employers around the world, the number of papers and citations, as well as the ratio of teachers, foreign faculty members, international students, and overseas students.
By each metric, the ranking is as follows:
Overall: 351-400th (tied 58th in Japan)
International faculty: 54th (6th in Japan)
Outbound exchange students: 101st (10th in Japan)
International exchange students: 119th (18th in Japan)
International students: 133rd (25th in Japan)

In 2014, Soka University was selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) for the Top Global University Project, and has been working to achieve its goals toward the globalization of the campus. Currently, we have academic exchange agreements with 225 universities in 62 countries and regions, and about 730 international students (about 10% of the student body) come to study annually. In addition, even in the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic, we have been providing online international education programs. We plan to continue to work on the realization of an international campus where diverse students can learn from each other.
