The 2nd Ryuhokai General Meeting was held online

On Sunday, October 31st, the 2nd Ryuhokai General Meeting was held online, with more than 300 international student alumni from 32 countries and regions participating. This gathering started in 2015 to create opportunities for international students who have studied at Soka University to gather after graduation. This was the second time in six years that the event was held.

At the general meeting, Yasunori Tashiro, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, read a message from the University Founder Daisaku Ikeda. Next, Mrs. Hyon Jung Moon, a graduate of Bekka (Preparatory Japanese Language Program) and graduate school, who is currently living in the United States, gave an activity report. In the end, President Yoshihisa Baba gave a greeting to the participants, and a commemorative photo was taken with all. In the second part of the event, the exchange meeting was divided into seven groups.

    Voices of the Participants
・I was able to see current and former international students for the first time in a long time and was able to recall my memories from my time at Soka University. I hope to see everyone at Soka University again someday.
・ I was deeply moved by the hard work of my juniors and by reuniting with friends who are playing active roles in the world. I will do my best without forgetting my prime point at Soka University.
