Yasuda Seminar team won the grand prize at the 18th Campus Venture Grand Prix Tokyo Regional Tournament!

On Thursday, November 18th, the final judging panel of the 18th Campus Venture Grand Prix Tokyo Regional Tournament was held online, and team Wadachi of Professor Yoshinori Yasuda seminar Faculty of Business Administration won the grand prize (first place).

The Campus Venture Grand Prix began in Osaka in 1999 as a student business contest and is currently being held in eight regions nationwide (Hokkaido, Tohoku, Tokyo, Chubu, Osaka, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Kyushu). Known as the "gateway to student entrepreneurship", students who have won regionals will compete in the national competition. 225 teams applied for the Tokyo Regional tournament this year, and 10 teams that passed the document screening and semifinal judging, participated in the final judging panel.

Team Wadachi devised and presented a business model of an online haircut service that eliminates the unnaturalness of wigs, taking into account that people who use wigs due to illness are struggling with their appearance. The director of the judging committee said, "It is wonderful that we shed light on the problems that only those involved can know, devise solutions, and use tried and tested means to realize them. I would like the parties involved to do their best to realize it."

Team leader Toshikazu Sato (3rd year) said, "We were the first team from Soka University to win the grand prize. In the process of challenging ourselves through various tournaments, we will continue to think about what and how to use the skills we have acquired and continue to face those challenges together."
