On April 28th (Friday), the "Soka University Corporate Business Plan Explanatory Meeting" was held at Global Square Discovery Hall, with approximately 380 faculty and staff members in attendance. President Masashi Suzuki presented the vision for Soka University, President Noboru Mizumoto shared the vision for Soka Women's College, and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Yasunori Tashiro explained the Soka University Corporate Business Plan.

President Suzuki provided an overview of the Soka University Grand Design, which began in the 2021 academic year, and reflected on the previous year's President's Vision while explaining the President's Vision for the 2023 academic year. He mentioned the introduction of the "Sub-Major System: SDGs" and the enhancement of global citizenship education starting this academic year. In terms of faculty research and educational activities, he announced the promotion of key research projects, including the "Human Glycomics Project," which is the first "Large-Scale Academic Frontier Promotion Project" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology, in the field of life sciences. Additionally, there were introductions of initiatives for the current academic year, with a focus on the fields of "SDGs" and "Diversity."
Subsequently, President Mizumoto introduced the achievements of junior college students and explained the Junior College President's Vision as well as the various initiatives of the "Junior College Mid-term Plan 2021-2025," aiming for the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the junior college.


Lastly, Chairperson Tashiro discussed the financial situation of Soka University and the business plan. He mentioned the need for faculty and staff to work together in order to embody the founding spirit and progress with the various initiatives of the current academic year.
