I have learned that the goals and ideas of Soka education are to commit to fostering global citizens that lead peace and sustainable prosperity not only in Japan but also in the international community. Furthermore, the principles of Soka University are to be the highest seat of learning for humanities education, the cradle of a new culture and a fortress for the peace of humankind.

At present, Soka University is pursing globalization of student exchanges, undergraduate, graduate education programs and university operating system with the aim of globalizing campuses in order to lead forward as a global university. To attain this goal, Chungbuk National University would like to join to go one step further through various academic and student exchanges with you. Further to this, I believe we can go through this crisis together and that we can maintain the fruitful cooperation between our institutions, and even strengthen our relationships through adversity so as to cultivate global talent together.

As we face a very uncertain future due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the strength of international partnerships is being tested.
