We offer our sincere words of encouragement as Soka University prepares to embark upon a significant milestone and celebrate its 50th anniversary. This momentous occasion allows us to recognize some of the impactful programs that have resulted from our strong partnership.
Since 2010, which marked the start of our student exchange program, Soka University has remained an invaluable partner to Kennesaw State University. As one of our most competitive exchange programs, it has created numerous opportunities for our students to travel to Japan and have transformative life experiences. Notably, and due to the strength of our partnership, a number of Kennesaw State University faculty have also been afforded similar opportunities through faculty exchanges. It has and will continue to be our pleasure to host your students and faculty. My experience at your campus and the relationships with your faculty are a most treasured memory and I look forward to all of us meeting again to continue the journey.
As a testament to the important public service contributions that you have made, Kennesaw State University awarded Daisaku Ikeda, founder of Soka University, the 2015 Kennesaw State University Global Public Service Prize which was featured during our “Year of Japan” Annual Country Study Program. With much gratitude, we also thank you for your endorsement of the Soka Gakkai Youth Division to the Humanitarian Responses to Crisis International Conference which we hosted in 2014.
