We wish to convey our warmest congratulations to Soka University on the occasion of your 50th anniversary.

Soka University has a distinguished past as a pioneer in the provision of holistic, humanistic, and value-creating education since the inception in 1971. In 2014, in particular, Soka University was selected for the Top Global University Project, in recognition of your success in the internationalization of higher education. Based on your solid foundation, we believe we will continue to benefit from our partnership, and together to make contributions to the nourishment of professionals. To implement academic collaboration, our MOU came into effect in 2018, and student exchange has begun. We were pleased to receive your students in 2019, and our students will go to your esteemed institution for further studies. Remarkably, in 2018, we had the honor to award the title of honorary professor to Daisaku Ikeda, president of SGI (Soka Gakkai International). We applaud him for successfully fostering cultural integration, and his sustained efforts as an educator, philosopher and peacemaker.

In celebration of your 50th anniversary, we would like to express our gratitude to all teaching and supporting staff and wish you continued success in the years to come. Above all, on behalf of all our colleagues at Chihlee University of Technology, we wish you, your loved ones, and our beloved Japanese friends health and prosperity, amid COVID 19. It is the power of global community that will propel us through this to better times.
