It is with great pleasure that I send Wuhan University's warmest congratulations on the 50th anniversary of Soka University's founding.

SUJ has always been one of our oldest and most valued partners in Japan. We are proud of our partnership which formally started 36 years ago in 1985, with the signing of a university-wide academic exchange agreement. Over the years, numerous faculty members and students from both sides participated in our exchange program, which not only was beneficial for their academic career but also enriched their personal life experience. Moreover, SUJ and WHU colleagues and students had the opportunity to form deep bonds of friendship through these exchanges.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges to international education in the world, affecting the mobility of staff and students as well as international collaboration and exchange. At this time of difficulty, we are ready to explore opportunities to further promote educational cooperation between our two universities.

It is a pity that we cannot join you in person on this great occasion. On behalf of all WHU staff and students, I give you our heartfelt congratulations on the special anniversary.
