September 9, 2016 – Faculty of Business Administration holds peer meeting

Soka University invited Fumiyo Seimiya, Chairperson of the World Institute for Action Learning – Japan (WIAL-Japan), as the coach for the second peer meeting that the Faculty of Business Management held on September 9, 2016.

The meeting discussed the required course for sophomores “Humanistic Management Workshop.” The course aims to help students explore the idea of humanism to shape their own opinions on humanistic management and develop their judgment relating to it, contemplate what the student life they wish to lead should look like, and how they hope to pursue their careers and set clear goals.
Our alumni and faculty members are invited as guests to the lectures delivered as part of the workshop. These lectures consist of several different parts to provide various perspectives on humanistic management. Attendees work in groups using a worksheet provided to review these perspectives, then shape their own opinions and develop their judgment, thereby learning skills needed for group work.
The peer meeting discussed how to improve the items for evaluating and measuring the learning goals in the worksheet.
