July 28, 2016 – Faculty of Business Administration holds peer meeting

The Faculty of Business Administration held this year’s first peer meeting on July 28, 2016.

The meeting discussed the course “Basic Studies in Management,” one of the Faculty’s required courses. In this course, it is vital that students develop their learning skills, contemplate how they will achieve their own goals, and act on their plans.
Specifically, students are expected to acquire a variety of learning techniques, ranging from basic skills (e.g., note taking, reading, and writing papers), active learning that uses the learning through discussion (LTD) method, to the use of tools designed to support student life including the student life portfolio, career guidance, and library guidance.
The meeting also pointed out that the teachers have only limited opportunities to work with students as their instructors due to the fixed numbers of classes they teach. Then it suggested, “As an AP that taps into the uniqueness of the Faculty of Business Administration, our educational environment should be built on the idea of humanistic management. We should also make improvements in education not only in terms of AL but also from the perspective ‘teachers are the greatest part of an educational environment.’” The meeting discussed detailed improvement measures centered on this suggestion.
