The Soka University Graduate School Academic Fees Exemption Scholarship for International Students (tuition waiver program), the Soka University Makiguchi Memorial Educational Foundation Scholarship for International Students (Master's Program only), and the International Student Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant Program will be combined into one scholarship, the "Soka University Makiguchi Memorial Educational Foundation Scholarship for International Students".

1. Applicants who meet the qualifications for admission to the Graduate School of Science and Engineering and have foreign citizenship (non-Japanese nationality).
2. Applicants who apply for the specific entrance examinations for which this scholarship selection is conducted.

• Each academic year, nine students from the Master's Program and five students from the Doctoral Program will be selected through scholarship selections conducted at the time of specific entrance examinations.
• This scholarship is provided within the standard term of study, for two years for the Master's program and three years for the Doctoral program.
• After enrollment in the graduate school, the scholarship will be paid in two installments, one for the spring semester and the other for the fall semester, after completing the prescribed procedures (the scholarship cannot be applied to the fees paid at the time of the enrollment procedures).

• The entrance examination for which the Graduate School of Science and Engineering conducts scholarship selection is the"Special Ccreening for International Students (April Entry)".
• Scholarship selection will also be conducted for the Special Screening for international students (For September Entry / Term 1 and Term 2) only in the case that the number of students selected for spring admission does not meet all the quotas. In this case, priority for scholarship selection will be given to applicants who have taken the Special Screening for September Entry Term1.
• Please note that the scholarship selection process is not conducted for the internal selection examinations (spring/fall), the General Selection Examinations and Special Screening for working adults and returnee students, so applicants cannot apply for the scholarship above.

• This scholarship will be awarded to the applicants with the highest grades who have passed the specific entrance examination for which this scholarship selection is conducted.
