Overview
Message from the Dean
We, the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Soka University, aim to contribute to society by fostering human resources with highly specialized knowledge and skills in various fields of science and engineering. Faculty members in the Graduate School and graduate students in the Master's and Doctoral programs work together to develop theoretical and practical research and publish the results, thereby contributing to academic development.
It is well known that today, technologies such as AI are advancing rapidly. Against this backdrop of the times, we need to respond quickly to changes and push forward with more advanced research.
This requires a multifaceted approach that includes interdisciplinary research, international exchange, and industry-academia collaboration. Our goal is to incorporate these approaches and conduct research that contributes to addressing various social issues that are becoming increasingly serious.
The Graduate School has three majors corresponding to three important keywords of modern society: information Systems Science, Biosciences, and Environmental Engineering for Symbiosis. Each major is staffed by outstanding faculty members, and students receive highly specialized instruction while acquiring advanced research and development skills. We also collaborate with the Institute of Plankton Engineering and the Glycan and Life Systems Integration Center.
The mission of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Soka University is to contribute to society by training the next generation of researchers. We hope that you will continue to support and cooperate with our faculty and students as they work together to conduct advanced research and education.
