Approaching economics from three courses
Three courses are offered to approach topics of great social interest, such as the environment, poverty, economic policy, and finance. Students are divided into the "Data & Finance" course, the "Policy Studies" course, and the "Global & Development" course, and learn a wide range of problem-solving skills.
Data & Finance Course
Acquire skills in data processing, statistical analysis, and econometrics to create new value in finance and international business.
Policy Studies Course
We will take on the challenge of planning and designing effective economic measures and strategies to resolve various issues facing the local economy, the Japanese and global economies, such as building a circular economy, creating new industries, revitalizing regional areas, employment issues with AI, a stable food supply, and a declining birthrate and aging population.

Global Learning
We offer the International Program (IP), where you can study economics in English, as well as global training. In the International Program, you learn specialized fields in a foreign language, and the aim is to improve your language skills. We aim to develop high-level English skills and problem-solving abilities that will enable you to contribute to the global economic society, and to become talented individuals equipped with economics knowledge and international communication skills.

S-Cube Program to develop the ability to realize SDGs
This is a program that aims to develop human resources who can create value and build a sustainable society, and its goal is to cultivate human resources who can contribute to building a new economic and social system that leaves no one behind (the ability to realize the SDGs).

A variety of programs to develop global citizens who create value
HOPE (Honors Program in Economics) is a program that develops leaders who can contribute to the global economic society and to local communities (can be taken simultaneously with Soka University GCP). Students aim to find employment in major private companies and graduate schools both in Japan and overseas, as well as international organizations such as UN organizations such as the UNDP and the World Bank.

The Faculty of Faculty of Economics has set up its own unique Faculty of Faculty of Economics Education Lounge (FEEL), which provides a place for students to learn together and ask for advice from senior students.

Learn economics from a global perspective
Learn economics from a global perspective. Gain a broad perspective and aim to become a leader in the international economy.
First year
Learn an introduction to global standard economic theory.
"Introduction to Economic Mathematics" is a class structure based on proficiency level. Even those who were not good at math can enjoy studying with friends.
Second Year
You can choose seminars and courses based on your interests.
In the spring semester of the second year, students will take introductory courses. In the fall semester of the second year, students will finally choose a course and begin to study intensively themes that interest them.
Third Year
Students will study economics that tackles various social issues. Many students study abroad in their third year.
At the seminar research presentation competition, students compete in a heated battle to come up with solutions to specific social problems.
Fourth Year
As the culmination of their student life, students will work on writing their graduation thesis.

Main career paths after graduation
As a result of our international programs and other global education, in recent years we have seen a noticeable increase in students finding employment in foreign-affiliated companies, trading companies, and other companies where they can utilize their language skills. There are also many students aiming to work for finance-related companies, and we are also seeing an increase in students moving into industries that are in the spotlight of the times, such as IT-related companies.
Qualifications that can be acquired
We provide comprehensive support for students aiming to take the Certified Public Accountant Exam, Tax Accountant Exam, National Civil Service Exam, and Diplomat Exam, which are known to be difficult to pass. We also have an environment that aims to achieve high scores in English proficiency tests, such as international programs. Through undergraduate education, you can take the first step to achieving your dreams.
