Cultivating an international perspective on campus and improving language skills

The goal of language learning at Soka University is to "understand the culture of the country and acquire usable language skills." Enjoy discussions with international students from various countries and regions and develop an international perspective through cooperation. Exposure to different cultures will steadily improve your language skills.

Over 15 language subjects

WLC offers more than 15 language courses, including English, to foster global citizens. Through these courses, students will acquire foreign language skills and the ability to coexist in multiple cultures.

Various programs to help improve your language skills

In addition to classes and overseas training, WLC offers various programs outside of class to support students in improving their language skills. In addition to English conversation, there are conversation programs in nine languages, English study consultations, English writing corrections, IELTS and TOELF-iBT speaking tests, and more, all of which can be used according to your purpose. All programs are held at the "WLC Self-Access Center" in SPACe on the 2nd floor of Global Square, and are run mainly by international students, student staff with overseas experience, and WLC faculty and staff.
