On October 19 (Friday), Ambassador to Japan Ayman Aly Kamel of the Arab Republic of Egypt visited Soka University and met with President Yoshihisa Baba and others.

The Arab Republic of Egypt has a population of approximately 95 million with approximately 50 institutions of higher learning. Soka University has engaged in academic exchange agreements with two universities: the University of Cairo and the American University in Cairo, and have promoted student exchanges.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kamel shared his thoughts: “Enriching education in both nations was greatly emphasized during the meeting between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and I expect that exchanges between various universities in Egypt and Soka University will expand and that many students will mutually study in the two nations.”
