This ranking makes its assessment by looking at measurement standards such as appraisals from researchers and employers from around the world, the number of papers published and related quotes, and the numbers of faculty, foreign faculty, foreign students, and students studying abroad.

Below are the rankings by measurement:

    Foreign faculty: 54th (4th domestically)

Students studying abroad: 101st (8th domestically)

In 2014, Soka University was selected as a Top Global University Project by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. Ever since the university has engaged in the globalization of its campus and has strived to reach its goals. Currently, Soka University has tied academic exchange agreements with 222 universities in 61 countries and regions. Not only that, but every year, approximately 900 students (11.6% of the total number of students) study abroad or attend overseas training (accompanied by the approval of credits), and every year approximately 860 foreign students (11.1% of the total number of students) study at this campus.

The university will continue to engage in realizing a campus that is internationally rich where various types of students can join together while studying.
