On Thursday, June 2nd, the 2022 Spring Semester Special Scholarship Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held in Global Square AB103 and attended by 96 students (12 of whom are international students) who were selected as honor students, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Yasunori Tashiro, President Masashi Suzuki, Dean of Students Masayuki Okutomi, and the deans from each faculty.

The purpose of the university's honor program is to encourage students with outstanding academic performance after entering university and to provide incentives to those with the highest GPAs selected from students who have acquired 16 credits or more each semester.

First, President Suzuki presented the representative students with a certificate and said, "It is important for those of you who are expected to grow further to think carefully about how you will develop your existing abilities and what kind of person you will become.{j}We hope you will further demonstrate your abilities and spread your wings to the world."

Next, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Tashiro gave a speech saying: "Learning and deepening the founding spirit of the university, along with the study of your specialized field, will help you to acquire solid skills that will be applicable in society.{j}I hope that all of you who have overcome these two years of hardship, will look at the world with your own eyes and continue to study hard, without fear of failure."

One of the participating students commented: "I am very happy that I have put all my energy into my studies for my own career path, and that my daily efforts have been rewarded as an honor student."
