On Thursday 10th November, the Faculty of Law’s Associate Professor Ulv Hanssen met with the Kingdom of Norway’s Former Prime Minister Erna Solberg, the Norwegian parliamentary delegation, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Japan (Hiroo, Shibuya-ku).

The Norwegian parliamentary delegation, which included former Prime Minister Solberg, came to Japan in order to carry out investigations on East Asian movements after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and Associate Professor Hanssen, along with a number of experts living in Japan, had a lively discussion regarding how to guarantee their safety as they traveled East Asia, including Japan.

Associate Professor Hanssen said, “This visit from the Kingdom of Norway’s parliamentary delegation shows that the importance of East Asia is increasing even in Europe, and interest and knowledge of East Asia is fast increasing even in countries far away from Japan, such as Norway.”
