The website of the Embassy of Japan in Ethiopia posted about the business trip to Shiga of Her Excellency Takako Ito, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on June 26th and 27th, 2023. In Shiga, she visited Lake Biwa Environmental Research Institute and University of Shiga Prefecture.

During this visit, opinions were exchanged on the future cooperative relationship between Amhara Region, Ethiopia and Shiga Prefecture through the lake as chance by the SATREPS-EARTH project.
