Prior to my Ph.D. studies, I worked at the World Bank in Washington, D.C. for about five years and conducted research on various economic development issues. I also worked as a consultant for the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology during my Ph.D. and as a research officer at the Economic and Social Research Institute, Cabinet Office, Government of Japan after earning my Ph.D.
