Welcome to Soka University. I am Dr. George Wang, Associate Professor in the Faculty of International Liberal Arts. The main mission of the Faculty is to provide students with knowledge and training in the area of liberal arts with not just a regional, but a global vision, better to fit into the international working environment. There are at least three major advantages when you choose to study in International Liberal Arts at Soka. Firstly, you will be gaining ample international learning experience, including field study, exchange programs, and study abroad. Secondly, you will be learning integrated knowledge of multi-discipline to deal with real-life issues in culture, law, and business. Thirdly, you will be taught by many internationally prestigious scholars. I myself was originally from Taiwan, completing my undergraduate study at National Chengchi University. I then received my MBA degree from University of Connecticut, USA, and my PhD degree from Imperial College, London, UK. I have also served as visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin, USA. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience in business and finance. My research area is in corporate finance and corporate social responsibility. In addition to university activities, I am also helping industry practitioners in consulting dealing with practical business problems. Being around students and sharing my knowledge are the happiest things in my life. I am sure your learning at Soka will be a rewarding experience to you.
