On October 9th (Mon), at the Soka University Festival, the Awarding Ceremony for Academic Awards was held, and the exhibition by the Sugimoto Seminar from the Faculty of International Liberal Arts was chosen for the "Discovery Award"! The Academic Awards aim further to develop the exhibitions and research at the Soka University Festival and commend the selected groups based on evaluations by the visitors.
The "Discovery Award", won by the Sugimoto Seminar, is given to one group that has broadened the visitors' perspectives and provided new discoveries.
The Sugimoto Seminar conducted research and presented an exhibition on the economic ripple effects of the establishment of a shopping center. They explained concepts of economics through quizzes and specific examples.
