Challenge yourself to chat in English!
Chit Chat Club (C3) is a program where students can practice and improve their daily English conversation skills. The sessions are conducted by international students or those with study abroad experiences and focus on familiar topics such as travel, food, hobbies, and much more. During the session, students will also have the opportunity to learn about the cultures and customs of the countries where our staff are from. I am not good at English, but because I like to speak it, I started to challenge Chit Chat Club after I learned about this program in the summer of my freshman year. At first, I invited my friends to join me in the session because I was shy and worried about whether I could speak well due to my low English level . However, all the staff members were kind and they conducted the sessions in an enjoyable atmosphere. When I did not understand an English expression or word, I would ask, "How do you say~ in English?" The staff would tell me in an easy-to-understand way and also correct my grammar. In addition, the charms of Chit Chat Club are the topics that make the conversations lively and the fun games. I hope to come more often in the future.
I am filled with gratitude towards Chit Chat Club (C3). This program not only helps me improve my English, but also build lifelong, solid bonds with the staff members! In only one semester, I have visited C3 over 50 times, scored over 730 on the TOEIC exam, and received the Schliemann Award! I was convinced that no matter the environment or the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, everything was up to me and I could do anything! I will strive to become the world citizen that our Founder hoped for me to become!
