User's Voice

Global Village is a program that opens up endless possibilities for you!
I wanted to be able to speak in Korean, and so I used this program every week for 5 years.
As a result, I was able to improve my skills from the level of being able to only do simple “greetings” before going to study abroad, to the level of being able to participate in discussions during classes and have the language skills for daily life during my study abroad. This program was also useful in helping me practice what I have learned after coming back from study abroad.
By learning the language during the sessions, I could also learn about culture and customs.
I am very grateful to the international students who taught us so that we can always enjoy learning.
I will continue to realize my dream by using the language skills that I have gained from Global Village.
In Global Village, I could enjoy learning Chinese through the conversations, games, and activities that are prepared by the staff in every session. I was originally planning to go to China for an exchange program, but I couldn’t go due to COVID-19. Under such circumstances, Global Village was a valuable opportunity for me to practice my Chinese speaking skills at the university. I feel that my language skills have improved little by little by having a lot of exposure to the Chinese language in the sessions and by speaking it myself. Valuing all my learnings from Global Village, I will continue to do my best to learn Chinese!
