Main career, work history, and academic background

He previously worked as a junior high school teacher in Kagoshima Prefecture and a teacher at a Tokyo metropolitan school before assuming his current position. He is also a lecturer for the NHK High School Lecture "Public Affairs" television program and an advisor on civic education to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. His publications include "Public Affairs and ○○ Education" (editor, Shimizu Shoin, 2026), "Politics and Economics Learned Through Love, Not Romance" (single author, Shimizu Shoin, 2019), "Our Public Affairs: The Society We Create for Everyone" (co-author, Shimizu Shoin, 2025), and "The Practice and Theory of Civic Education" (co-author, Shimizu Shoin, 2022).
