research content

With the research theme of "Research into the creation of a local care system for people with disabilities," we are conducting research on the hard aspects, such as the state of preparation of service providers, and the soft aspects, such as the qualifications of the caregivers who provide the services.
In research on the qualifications of care professionals, we conducted a study on setting goals to be achieved at the time of completion at care professional training facilities together with the Japan Association of Care Worker Training Schools. In addition, based on the results of an analysis of 24-hour time study data, the Care Professional Working Group of the Cabinet Office's "Practical Career Up Strategy" examined the contents of the assessor training course and external evaluation examiner training course, as well as training textbooks.
In a study on the development status of service providers, a geographical information system (GIS) was used to visualize the locations of service establishments across the country, revealing that service establishments tend to be concentrated in areas that tend to be urban, that there is a correlation between the average access distance and service usage, and that the average access distance for medical care benefit services tends to be short while it tends to be far for day care services.

Research and Education Policy

The main research theme is "Research on the construction of a local care system."
We will consider the current situation and challenges in the development of service providers, case studies of local initiatives, the possibilities for industry-government-academia collaboration, and support for self-reliance using ICT and AI.
Educational Policy
We will conduct research in social welfare-related fields. We aim to develop human resources who can utilize statistical analysis and management in research and education. We will actively support graduate students in submitting articles to highly regarded academic journals, presenting at professional conferences, and obtaining research grants.
The graduate school will focus on presentations and discussions. I am always interested in social change and would like to actively discuss issues surrounding social welfare with my fellow students.

Message

We welcome students who can proactively identify issues in the field of social welfare and rehabilitation and create solutions to these issues.
To conduct high-quality research, you need to be rigorous and push yourself to the limits. You need to participate in cutting-edge research networks, hold discussions with many researchers, and receive criticism and advice.
