Japanese language from the end of the Edo period to the Meiji period onwards. In particular, linguistic research centered on grammatical history and academic history research on European grammarians.

Research and Education Policy

I would like to conduct comprehensive research on the Japanese language since the Meiji period, particularly research related to the modernization of the language, and research into the intersection of Japanese language education and European Japanese linguistics. I would like to engage in research and education together with students.
